Appointed Justice of the Peace in Belize

Frik De Meyere fell in love with Placencia (Barefoot Paradise) during a central american business scouting trip with his partner, Ms Ilse Van Keer, almost 2 decades ago.  Frik has been buying and investing in properties in Placencia and other areas in Belize since 2004.

Born in a small Farming village in Belgium by the Dutch border, finished studies in Ghent and Antwerp and followed by a professional career in Brussels, Belgium, Frik decided to move with his family to Belize in 2011 and joined the Boris Mannsfeld & Associates team.

Frik would build out the company in the next decade into an unseen Belizean Real Estate success story. From a 3 people strong team to a 25 people strong team,  from 10 annual sales to 100+ annual sales, from 35,000 USD vacant lots to multi-million dollar islands and beachfront mansions. He transformed the company into a Belize real estate brand name and as such becoming the largest privately owned (non brand) real estate company in the entire country. In August 2023, as Frik felt it was time for a new adventure and direction, Frik decided to leave the BMA team and start his own with a new concept and company.

Before moving to Belize, Frik build up an extensive experience in a variety of international real estate projects, and has spearheaded many business development projects including, food-production, Information Technology, Cosmetics and Construction.  His property development company realized over 100 units constructed and sold.

Beside the Real estate experience and investments in Belize, Frik has engaged in energy consulting,  developed a private real estate classifieds MLS website for Belize  and is also developing the largest self-storage rental units complex in the Country.  Since 2020 he also assisted Ms Van Keer in the design and construction of a brand new coffee shop, ice cream parlor and wine bar – Chillpoint.com which they turned into a success story as well in record time.

Frik has a paramedic degree, a master in information technology and an entrepreneurial MBA from Flanders Business School in Belgium and Kellogg School of Management in Chicago.

He has made Belize his new home and is since a Naturalized Belize Citizen and was also appointed as a Belize Justice of the Peace.
