- You must be the beneficial recipient of a retirement income amounting to $2,000 monthly or $24,000 annually, sourced from outside Belize in approved foreign currencies such as USD, GBP, EUR, and CAD.
- Accepted forms of retirement income include pensions, annuities, social security benefits, investment accounts, inheritances, reverse mortgages, personal savings, retirement contribution plans, and other reliable means.
- Financial Undertaking:
- A written undertaking to deposit the required amount in a Belizean bank, credit union, or licensed financial institution is necessary.
- Security Clearance:
- Passing a security clearance check conducted by the Ministry of National Security in Belize is mandatory.
- Residency Requirement:
- You must be able to stay in Belize for a minimum of 30 consecutive days annually.
